I londinesi Grand Theft Audio (il nome è una parodia del termine grand theft auto) si formano dall'unione del vocalist Jay Butler con Chris McCormack, ex-chitarrista dei Colours Red, Ritch Battersby, ex-batterista dei Wildhearts, e Ralph Jezzard (già produttore degli EMF) al basso e alle tastiere.
